Wexler, who is 2 years old with black fur and floppy ears, bit into a braided strap hanging from a door, Monday evening. “Hold,” instructed John Thompson, who sat in a power-assist wheelchair just behind the dog. Wexler held the strap in house mouth. “Tug,” Thompson said in the same calm tone.

Prospect Hill Academy is a Charter school in Somerville, Massachusetts and Cambridge, Massachusetts, teaching children in grades K to 12. It was founded by a group of parents in 1996 as the Somerville Charter School.
As of the beginning of the 2007-08 school year, there are three campuses:
1. 15 Webster Avenue, Somerville, Massachusetts (lower school) grades K-4
2. 17 Franklin Street, Somerville, Massachusetts (middle school) grades 5-8
3. 50 Essex Street, Cambridge, Massachusetts (upper school) grades 9-12
