The Mountain Home School Board Thursday approved a request by Mountain Home City Police Chief Carry Manuel to increase the district's annual monetary contribution to the police department toward the salaries for three school resource officers — Bubba Jones at the high school, Tom Canta at the junior high and Eddie Helmert at the middle school — by $10,000 per officer.

A two-vehicle accident at 7:50 a.m. Friday at South College and Wade streets resulted in occupants of one of the vehicles being taken to Baxter Regional Medical Center, according to an accident report by Mountain Home Patrolman Henry Campfield. The officer said citations are pending.
