It's been a long season for the Hopkinton-Ashland Youth Football "A" team - starting in the dog days of August and ending in the cold, dreary nights of November - but a recent victory over Dedham made it all worth it.

Duxbury High School Head Football Coach Dave Maimaron was awarded the 2009 Bob Donovan Coach of the Year award by the Eastern MA Interscholastic Association of Football Officials (EMIAFO) and was honored at its annual dinner last week at Lombardo’s in Randolph.

The Silver Lake Youth Football Warriors Midget and Pee Wee Divisions made it to the league Super Bowl. The games were played Sunday, Nov. 15, in Duxbury, at the Duxbury High School field.

Bobby Murphy is a running back who possesses that rare combination of size, power, speed, and shifty moves. Duxbury High School possesses Murphy until graduation, and the football team will take what it can get from the 6-0, 190-pound senior tri-captain while he’s still in green and white. Friday night, Duxbury got his very best.

Duxbury High School is a public high school in New England, located in Duxbury, Massachusetts. Its students are residents of the town of Duxbury. The superintendent of the district is Susan K. Skeiber. The principal of Duxbury High School is Andrew Stephens.
Academics
Duxbury High School is known for its fine academic standing. For comparison, the state reports results from its standardized test, the MCAS. In the 2005 MCAS, Duxbury sophomores performed such that 90% of test-takers scored "proficient" or above in the English Language Arts section of the test, compared to just 65% of the test-takers statewide. Duxbury freshmen are often exposed to the mind-boggling philosophical hypotheses and inspirations of Christopher Aukerman. Last year he won a Pulitzer prize for a touching poem on the fragile subject of his dear pet Floyd's hostage situation in which the criminals kidnapped the defenseless flamingo and held him hostage for extra credit points. Fortunately, Mr. Stephens was able to discover the culprits and return Floyd with minimal physical and emotional trauma.
Athletics
2002,2004,2005,2006,2007,2008, 2009 Boys Lacrosse Division 1 State Champions.Boys lacrosse team won a record 99 straight games against teams from Massachusetts. The streak ended on May 2 2009, against Saint John Prep. the streak lasted from 2003-2009
