CLAY TWP. -- An off-duty Detroit police officer is being credited with saving the lives of two Clay Township men after one fell out of a boat Tuesday on Lake St. Clair's Bouvier Bay. Ira Township Fire Chief Mike Holt said firefighters from his department and Clay Township were called to the lake about 5:20 p.m. after someone noticed an unoccupied boat going around in circles.
