Harper Creek High School is a high school in the Harper Creek School District located just outside the city of Battle Creek, Michigan. In 2005, Harper Creek opened a new state-of-the-art high school. The school includes a Mac computer lab, multiple Windows computer labs, electronic lockers, built in overhead projectors in all rooms, a gymnasium with three basketball courts, a 850 seat auditorium and an 8 lane swimming pool. Using the ACT scores, only 6.3% of graduates from Harper Creek High School are college ready well below the Calhoun County average hovering around 10%, and compared to 13.4% graduating from Lakeview High School and 38.5% from St. Philip Catholic Central High School.

Sports teams
In 2007, Harper Creek's baseball team won the state championship for Division 2. Harper Creek is one of three high school athletic programs in the state of Michigan to use the Beaver as a mascot. Harper Creek athletics are most popular for a thirty six game regular season winning streak in football from 1994-97. In 1999, the Harper Creek football team advanced to the state semi-finals against Orchard Lake St. Mary's, the furthest any team from Battle Creek has reached since the MHSAA Playoff Expansion to 256 teams. In 2000-01 Harper Creek won the final Twin Valley Men's All Sports trophy, an awarded given to the winningest athletic program for that year.
Harper Creek now competes in the Southwest Michigan Athletic Conference.

In 2003, the Quiz Bowl team lost the Class e state championship and advanced to a national tournament. Harper Creek also fielded a team in the 2005 and 2006 that lost the state championships. [1]
Marching Band
The 2008 Harper Creek Marching Band consisted of 24 performers, 18 wind, 2 percussion, 3 colorguard, and 1 drum major. The theme this year is music from "The Beatles". Featuring four different selections, "I Want To Hold Your Hand", "Hey Jude" (featuring a Trumpet and Color Guard soloist), "Eleanor Rigby" (also featuring a Trumpet soloist), and "Magical Mystery Tour" / "A Hard Days Night". The band received 4th place at the Otsego Marching Band Invitational. Though a last place finish they did manage to bring home the Best Marching Award. As for the 2008 season, it has concluded. In 2004, the Colorguard managed to bring home two first-place finishes at the Hastings Competition and the Otsego Competitions, the band followed closely behind in second and third places. They will be returning in 2009.
