  • School Overview: Anoka High School is a part of the Anoka-Hennepin School District 11 and is one of six public school high schools in the district. Anoka High is one of the oldest high schools in the state and is 127 years old as of 2007.
  • Academic Assessment: Anoka High School made Adequate Yearly Progress and was also ranked out of 453 high school.
  • Sports: Anoka has an excellent sports program and is a regular competitor in the Northwest Suburban Conference. In 2006 the Anoka Tornadoes football team won section 7AAAA by beating Champlin Park High School in the section final. The Tornadoes then lost to Lakeville South High School in the playoffs who in turn lost the class 5A state title to Eden Prairie High School. Anoka High School's main rival is Champlin Park High School and the two have a fierce rivalry. Another rival of Anoka is Blaine High School.
