Clayton High School is a public high school located in the St. Louis suburb of Clayton, Missouri. It is the only high school within the School District of Clayton. The official site can be viewed here: Clayton High School.
High Rating in Newsweek
It was ranked by Newsweek as the 230th-best public high school in the nation in 2004, which was the 2nd highest in the state of Missouri.

The school won the 2004 Missouri Class 4 state championship in football.

History
The first Clayton High School classes met in the upper floors of the Forsythe School beginning in 1908. In 1911, the school graduated its first class. The first Clayton High School building opened in September 1917 at 7500 Maryland Avenue. In 1952, the building was sold to Famous-Barr and the site was used for a Famous-Barr parking lot. The current location at 1 Mark Twain Circle opened in 1954, the first class graduating in June 1955.
Fight Song
The first original Fight Song for Clayton High School was written in 2008 by freshman student Cooper Alexander Minnis. Minnis named the tune "Greyhound Pride," after the school's mascot. Before "Greyhound Pride" was written, the school's fight song was "On Wisconsin."
