It is being called a full on attack. A boy at Hazelwood West High School allegedly beats a girl on board a school bus. The entire incident is caught on surveillance video. The family is calling for the school district to release that video, but they have decided they will not do so.

NOVEMBER 7, 2009 - St. Louis County Health Department hoped to distribute 10,000 doses of H1N1 vaccine at five area high schools. Kaylee Massey,7, of St. Louis cringed as she received her vaccination from RN Susan Holmes of St. Louis at Hazelwood West High School.

It seemed to take a long while, but finally, the H1N1 vaccine is available to the public in St. Louis County. Several area high schools served as host sites for vaccine clinics on Saturday. Folks lined up early at the schools just to get the line tickets required to get the shots later in the day. At Lindbergh High School in South County, that line stretched for miles.

Hazelwood West High School is a public high school in the Hazelwood School District located in North St. Louis County, Missouri.
History
Hazelwood West High School began on the current site of Hazelwood Central High School in the 1970s. Students from West and Hazelwood East High School would alternate use of the Central campus with Central. The building that would become Hazelwood West opened in 1969 as a three-year-junior high school, Howdershell Jr. High. A greatly expanded building opened as a six-year facility in 1975, the present Hazelwood West High School, housing students from grades nine through twelve. In 2002, all district junior high schools were renamed middle schools. In 2005, two new building additions were added, a band room near the main entrance and a three-story classroom wing in the rear of the former middle school section. With the completion of four new middle schools in 2007, Hazelwood Central Middle, Hazelwood North Middle, Hazelwood Southeast Middle and Hazelwood West Middle, Hazelwood West was designated solely as a high school.
