It has been renovated and expanded several times since. It was the only high school serving both Point Pleasant Beach and Point Pleasant Borough students until the Point Pleasant Boro High School was built in 1963. In March 2009, the school debuted the musical "The Wedding Singer" as the first amateur performance of the show in the state of New Jersey.
