The Saddle Brook High School varsity football team honored seniors during halftime of the game on Oct. 31. At a halftime ceremony were Carmine, Alexa and Anne Marie Bufi with wide receiver Carmine Jr. and quarterback Marc Bonaventure with his family: mother, Elizabeth, and father, Steven.

SADDLE BROOK ” Saddle Brook High School and Middle School, which share a building on Mayhill Street, were briefly evacuated Monday morning after a carbon monoxide monitor found elevated levels of the gas in a boiler room, police said.

Soccer tournament honors memory of Coach O (The Record and Herald News)

A man who coached many youngsters to play the beautiful game was honored with a tournament of the sport he was best known for in town. On Sept. 19, the Saddle Brook High School girls varsity soccer team hosted the first Coach O Soccer Classic at its athletic complex.

Saddle Brook High / Middle School is a six-year comprehensive public high school that serves students in seventh through twelfth grade from Saddle Brook, in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States, as part of the Saddle Brook Public Schools.
As of the 2005-06 school year, the school had an enrollment of 753 students and 55.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student-teacher ratio of 13.6.
The school was the 142nd-ranked public high school in New Jersey out of 316 schools statewide, in New Jersey Monthly magazine's September 2008 cover story on the state's Top Public High Schools. The school was ranked 191st in the magazine's September 2006 issue, which surveyed 316 schools across the state.
Athletics
The Saddle Brook High School Falcons compete in the Bergen-Passaic Scholastic League (BPSL), which includes private and public high schools located in Bergen County and Passaic County. The team mascot is the Falcon.
Saddle Brook sports teams include Football, Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer, Cross Country Boys and Girls, Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Wrestling, Winter Track Boys and Girls, Spring Track Boys and Girls, Baseball, Softball and Girls Tennis.
The softball team won the 2002 North I, Group I state sectional championship with a 2-1 win over Emerson Junior/Senior High School in the finals, after topping Ridgefield Memorial High School 10-0 in the first round and Park Ridge High School 11-1 in the semifinals. Saddle Brook Track & Field Team won the 2005 Indoor and Outdoor State Group 1 NJSIAA Track Championships led by Coach Howard Schuman.
The Softball team has had 11 consecutive 20-game win seasons. The team won the BPSL carpenter division league in 2006 & 2007, and in 2007 made it to the final eight in the county tournament as the only group I school left in the tournament. Blah.
Under Head Coach Darren White(who also coaches Girls Softball), the Saddle Brook High Football Team saw a resurrgance in its program from 1999 to 2003. In those years the Falcons reached the State Playoffs 5 straight seasons. This was a remarkable feat as the years before Coach White saw the Falcons go 0-10, 1-9 and 2-8. However, after Coach White resigned following the 2003 season, things have gone from bad to worse for the Football Program. In the five years following Coach White, Saddle Brook has 17 wins, 4 Head Coaches and 0 winning seasons/playoff berths.
