  • Leesville Road High School (or Leesville High School, LRHS), which opened its doors in 1993, is a comprehensive public high school in Wake County located at 8409 Leesville Road, Raleigh, North Carolina.
  • LRHS offers a broad program of extracurricular and co-curricular activities, including band, computer club, foreign language, newspaper, yearbook, National Honor Society, Student Council, and many other clubs that are direct extensions of classroom experience.
  • Athletics: Leesville High offers various athletic activities to its students including, but not limited to, football, basketball, and others.
  • The 2006 Varsity Football Team: Won more games during the regular season than any other team in school history, with 9, in a row, on the field wins, although technically they finished 8-2 having to forfeit their first win over Cary due to the use of an ineligiable player.
  • Won their first conference championship since the schools founding, although it was a three-way tie with Broughton and Wake Forest-Rolesville.
  • Beat Millbrook High School for the first time in history winning 28-3 at home.
  • They were ranked in the NC Prep Football AP Poll inside the top 10 for the first time ever, and they reached their highest ranking in the local N&O ranking peaking at #4.
  • They earned the #2 seed in the East in the 4AA Championship Bracket, earning Homefield adavantage for the first three rounds of the playoffs.
  • They won their first playoff game in school history, defeating Wakefield 31-14, which was also the most points Wakefield had allowed all year.
  • They won their first second round playoff game in school history, defeating Wake Forest-Rolesville 7-3 by scoring with 33 seconds remaining in the game!
  • Lost third round playoff game (27-20) against Durham Riverside High School.
  • The mascot for Leesville Road High School is the Pride (a pack of Lions.)
  • This follows the trend of the elementary and middle school mascots, which are the Cubs and the Lions, respectively.
  • Leesville Road Elementary, Leesville Road Middle, and Leesville Road High are all physically connected to each other, commonly called the Leesville complex.
