    Mount Union College recently honored two alumni. This year’s recipient of the Alumni Service Award is Thelma E. Slater (Class of 1942). Dan Griffith (Class of 1999) received the Young Alumni Award.

    The board of education and the Hartville Lion’s Club honored several students for as student of the month chosen by their classroom teachers. A parent volunteer, classified employee and a teacher were also honored for their service to Lake Local Schools. Each honoree was presented a certificate by board member Dave Poling and Hartville Lion’s Club president Dave Rennels.
