Alfred Vennare left his fingerprints across Ambridge in the past two decades. Vennare, 59, of Moon Township, died Friday. He served Ambridge as borough manager in the 1990s and later worked for Ambridge Area School District.

AMBRIDGE — An ROTC teacher at Ambridge Area High School was cited this week for pushing a student, but the teacher disputes the charge, saying he simply instructed the boy to attend a school assembly.
