James Kolakowski, 12, reads atlases and maps like other kids read comic or game books. He's currently reading a Rand McNally atlas he won in the Pennsylvania Geographic Bee at Pennsylvania State University this month.

Bill Colbert, the former Millcreek Township School Board president, will not seek re-election to the board this year. In the Northwestern School District, recently retired superintendent Lynn Corder will be running for the School Board.
