Using Vex robotics kits, Radnor Robotics won 1st during the Diamond State Championship in an alliance with teams from Singapore (Singapore SMARTS) and Lower Merion (DAWGMA) during the FIRST Vex Challenge in 2006. Their win at the Diamond State Championship, hosted by the University of Delaware, qualified them for Nationals in Atlanta, Georgia. Nationals, held at the Georgia Dome, held 6 fields, including 1 field for the First Vex Challenge. About 100 teams competed, and Radnor placed 22nd. The team is coached by Ken Delaney, a statistics teacher at Radnor. The team is sponsored by Radnor Education Foundation and Centocor.

Radnor High School has been an 11 time 1st place winner of Delaware County's Hi-Q competition. The students answer trivia questions in 14 different categories. In the recent 2008 competition, Radnor took 2nd place, losing to Marple Newtown high school.

Radnor High School has two turf fields. One is an all purpose field, used by the school for soccer, lacrosse, and field hockey. Many other sports programs unaffiliated with RHS also use this field. The other turf field is a football field, installed during the summer of 2008.

Lower Merion High School Annual football game. The oldest continuous public high school football rivalry in the U.S. Of special note, the administration of Radnor High School grants the students of the school a half-day on the next school day if the school beats Lower Merion. However, the students of Lower Merion do not enjoy any similar reward. As of 11/15/08, Radnor has won the last 10 games running.

Alumni:
- Jules Prevost (1920) - (Football) Jules or "Pre" graduated from Radnor High School in 1920 and became an All-American football player at Pennsylvania State University. He returned to coach at his alma mater in 1926, and in his first season led the football team to an undefeated season. He was Radnor's head football coach until 1953.
- Seth Brown (1927) - (Track and Field) Seth earned four letters in four sports, football, basketball, baseball and track and field. He had the broad jump record of 20' 11" that stood for over 40 years.
- Warren Lentz (1930) - (Coach) Warren’s wins as a football coach are the most in Radnor’s history. His record from 1953 to 1971 is 185 wins, 42 losses and three ties. From 1957 to 1962 his team was undefeated with only one tie.
- Jan Berenstain ('41) - (Artist, Author) Jan Berenstain, along with her husband Stan, created the “Berenstain Bears,” among most famous characters in children’s literature.
- Emlen Tunnell (1942) - (Football) Emlen Tunnell graduated from Radnor High School in 1942 and went on to play football at the University of Toledo and the University of Iowa. Emlen played for the New York Giants and the Green Bay Packers. He was the first African-American to play for the Giants, the first to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and the first to coach at the professional level. Emlen coached with Vince Lombardi at Green Bay.
- Stuart Adams (1946) - (Basketball) Stu led the Radnor basketball team to the District One Championship and the state semi-finals in 1946. After playing semi-professional basketball, Stu went on to play for the Harlem Globetrotters.
- Margaret Prevost Beach (1947) - Margaret has been a longtime civic leader and athletic coach.
- Anna Moffo (1950) - A leading soprano at the Metropolitan Opera, Anna performed in opera houses throughout the United States and Europe and made frequent television and film appearances. She was nominated for a Grammy for best classical solo performance by a vocalist in 1962. She made her stage opera debut in 1955 in Donizetti’s Don Pasquale and a year later starred in the TV production of Puccini’s Madame Butterfly. She first performed at the Metropolitan Opera in 1959 as Violetta in La Traviata.
- Ted Dean (1956) - (Football) Ted earned high school All-American and All-State honors in football. Ted was also a State competitor in track and field, and letterwinner in basketball. Ted played for the Philadelphia Eagles and scored the winning touchdown in the 1960 NFL championship game.
- Joe Iacone (1959) - (Football) Joe earned high school All-American honors in football, and went on to earn little All-American status (3 times) while playing football for West Chester University. Joe was a sixth round draft choice of the Eagles. He also participated in track and basketball.
- Charles Crawford (1962) - (Author, Artist, Teacher) A graduate of Radnor High School and Williams College, he taught at Radnor for 32 years and helped create the Radnor Middle School Humanities Program. He spent 26 years at the middle school before transferring to the high school. Named The New York Times outstanding book of the year for young adults, his first book, Bad Fall, was published in 1972. He then published Three-Legged Race, Letter Perfect, and Split Time, all concerning young adult or adolescent problems. His books have been translated into Russian, German and Danish. As an artist he has worked in watercolor and oil and has exhibited in numerous art shows.
- Randal Kleiser (1964) - (Director, Producer, Writer) Randal has had a long and distinguished career as a film and television director, producer and writer, best known internationally as the director of Grease. His other films include Big Top Pee-wee, Honey I Blew Up the Kids, Flight of the Navigator, Shadow of Doubt and The Blue Lagoon. As a writer/producer, Randal was responsible for the surfing film North Shore. On television, his work includes the Emmy-winning movie The Gathering, as well as The Boy in the Plastic Bubble and Dawn: Portrait of a Teenage Runaway. Working in 70mm 3-D, he directed Honey, I Shrunk the Audience, at the Disney theme parks in Anaheim, Orlando, Tokyo and Paris.
- Lance Clemons (1965) - (Baseball) A successful athlete in high school and college, Lance played professional baseball primarily as a pitcher for several minor and major league teams, including the Kansas City Royals, St. Louis Cardinals and Houston Astros.
- Jane Barkman (1969) - (Swimming) Jane won both bronze and gold medals in swimming in the 1968 Mexico City Olympics and another gold medal in the 1972 games held in Munich.
- Sally Owen (1970) - (Athlete, Coach) Sally has had a long and distinguished career as an athlete and coach. For three years she was a member of the United States Lacrosse Team, which toured Great Britain. The team was the first with an undefeated record in 42 years of international competition, and in 1975 was the first to defeat the English team on English soil. The 1975 team will travel to England next year to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their achievement.
- Reginald Van Robinson (1974) - (Basketball) At Radnor he played baseball, football, track and basketball. The all-time leading point scorer in basketball up to that time, he was named to All-Scholastic, Central League All-Star, and All-American in 1974. From 1974 through 1978 Reggie was a stalwart of the Villanova Wildcats, led by coach Rollie Massimino. He averaged 11 points per game over a total of 119 games, and pulled down a total of 559 rebounds. He captained the 1977-1978 squad which made the Eastern Regional Finals of the NCAA tournament. Reggie played professional basketball in Europe. In 2003 he was named to the Villanova University Hall of Fame.
- Thomas F. Wilson (1977)- (Actor) His breakthrough role was as a bully named Biff Tannen in the movie trilogy Back to the Future.
- Michael Hausman (1978) - (Musician) One of the founders of, and the drummer for, the band 'Til Tuesday, Michael is currently the manager for musicians Aimee Mann and Marc Cohn.
- David Brooks (1979) - (Journalist, Author, Political Analyst) A columnist for The New York Times since 2003, David is a frequent political commentator on CNN, National Public Radio and the Newshour with Jim Lehrer on the Public Broadcasting System. He has also been a senior editor at The Weekly Standard and contributes to such national publications as Newsweek, The New Yorker, Commentary, The New Republic and The Atlantic Monthly. He has written two critically-acclaimed books, Bobos in Paradise: The New Upper Class and How they Got There and On Paradise Drive: How We Live Now (And Always Have) in the Future Tense. He is also the editor of an anthology, Backward and Upward: the New Conservative Writing.
- Mary Ellen Clark (1981) - (Diving) Mary Ellen was a seven time United States Diving National Champion and was a bronze medalist in platform diving in consecutive Olympics, Barcelona (1992) and Atlanta (1996).
- Paul Anthony Stewart (1988) - (Actor) Stewart first came into prominence as Casey Bowman, a man with a troubled father, on the soap opera Loving, a role he played from 1992 until the show's cancellation in 1995. His most most famous role to date has been mobster Danny Santos on Guiding Light from 1998 until 2005.
- Kelly Corrigan (1985) - (Writer) Corrigan is the author of the New York Times bestselling memoir, The Middle Place, as well as a contributor to O, The Oprah Winfrey Magazine. She has appeared on The Today Show three times and is the founder of Circus of Cancer, a website to teach people how to love a friend through cancer.

- Jim Balk - (coach) Longtime baseball coach Jim, now retired, had his number, 48, retired in a May ceremony.
- Skip Shoemaker - (coach) Veteran wrestling coach Skip Shoemaker was inducted into the Pennsylvania Wrestling Hall of Fame in March.
- Ellis Dwyer - (coach) Mr. Dwyer was a legendary coach from 1942 - 1973. During his thirty years at Radnor High School, Radnor won numerous league and district basketball titles, and advanced to the state championship game in 1960. While coaching at Radnor, Ellis's teams won over 500 games.
- Ethel Encke - (coach) Ethel Encke served for 44 years from 1941 as a teacher and a coach in the Radnor School system. She established the Radnor Day Camp, coached every women's team, sponsored the cheerleaders and the drill teams, and was a leader in numerous professional organizations at the local and state levels. Miss Encke was a huge advocate for women's sports, long before Title IX.
- Trivia
- Radnor's original school colors were Cherry Red and White, these colors have now become Maroon and White.
- Radnor's mascot used to be the Indian Raider, adopted in 1954. It was retired when it was deemed politically incorrect. The mascot costume resided in a school closet for a time before it was liberated by some enterprising students. Its whereabouts are currently unknown.However, it may still be in the closet. But for now, they use a giant flag with the school symbol.
