It has been more than nine months since the Springfield High School girls basketball team rode a wave of talent, momentum and chemistry to the Class 3A state tournament, farther than any Springfield public school girls team ever has advanced. The Senators have three starters returning from that group, which finished with the best record in school history at 29-5.
