FORT WORTH — A North Texas teen athlete is alive thanks to his coaches and school trainer who brought him back to life by restarting his heart. Nearly one month after the close call, the teen's lifesavers were honored Tuesday night.

When a patient and his or her family go to the hospital, they may expect to see students from a local medical or nursing school. What may be unexpected is a high school student, immersed in the department and actively participating in providing some aspects of patient care.
Coffee company perks up Goodwill clothing drive (Fort Worth Business Press)

Goodwill is in serious need of clothing donations so to help people with their spring cleaning, the organization has a partnetship with Community Coffee Co. Donors who drop off clothing to Goodwill from April 16-19 will receive a free trial pack of Community Coffee plus a $3 coupon for a future purchase.

Green B. Trimble Technical High School, also known as Trimble Tech, is a FWISD district-wide high school located on the south side of Fort Worth, Texas in the downtown medical district. It is the largest high school in Fort Worth. The mascot is the "Mighty Bulldog" and the school colors are green and black. Yovani Gallardo pitcher of the Milwaukee Brewers attended here.
History
After fire destroyed the original Fort Worth High School in 1910, the Bryce Building and Wyatt C. Hendrick Construction companies began construction on the current Green Berry Trimble Technical High Sschool building. In 1955, the school purpose was change from being a regular high school into a trades training school to train students who would otherwise not likely be attending college but needed vocational training. As a result, the school was renamed Fort Worth Technical High School. During the beginning of the 1964-1965 school year Fort Worth Technical High School was desegregated, the first in Fort Worth to do so. In 1967 the school was once again renamed, this time to Green Berry Trimble Technical High School, in honor of the for the first principal who started the technical training aspect of the school, upon his retirement. He was a pioneer in teaching the trades at the high school level in Texas and throughout the Southwest. After retirement, he remained involved with the guidance and direction of the school as a Fort Worth Independent School District board member. He served for several years as a board member, challenging many of the prior methods and practices of the district. He was the eldest son of William Marshall Trimble, a respected educator and physician in Tarrant County and co-founder of what is presently the University of Texas at Arlington.
Media Attention
In 2007, the school caught local media attention when 613 students who failed the TAKS test were barred from taking part in commencement activities. Some protesters were seen carrying signs that stated "Let are kids walk", further ensuring that the students would not take place in commencement activities.
