Loachapoka High School is one of the nine sites hosting a special one-day professional development workshop for teachers Thursday. The Alabama Department of Education and the Governor’s Office of Workforce Development are offering the Thursday workshops to cooperative education teachers and career and technical education administrators across the state.

Lee County Revenue Commissioner Oline Price told county commissioners at their meeting Monday night that the county’s revenue collections are up compared to the previous year. The total of $94 million in revenue collections is about 10 percent above last year, Price said.
