Lone Peak High School (abbreviated LPHS) is a public high school located in Highland, Utah, in northern Utah County. Its mascot is a knight. It is part of Alpine School District. It was created in 1997 to meet the need of the towns of Alpine, Highland, and Cedar Hills. Lone Peak High School was given athletic 5A Status beginning at the 2005-2006 school year.
Academics
Over 100 students get a 4.0 GPA each term, with about 250 making the honor roll of 3.7-3.95. Lone Peak offers several Honor and AP classes throughout the year, as well as several off-campus classes at several different colleges such as BYU, University of Utah, UVSC, and several business and technical colleges.
Sports
Lone Peak currently sponsors these interscholastic teams through its athletic department for both young men and women: basketball, cross country, soccer, swimming, tennis, golf, and track and field. For young men there are teams competing in baseball, football, and wrestling. Young women may also compete in cheerleading, drill team, softball, and volleyball.

Clubs
The school sponsors a number of clubs ranging from the arts and sciences to popular culture and athletics. The list changes from year-to-year based on student interests.These include:Young Republicans,Young Democrats,Debate,Operation Smile,and TheJosh Bentley Fan Club.
Fine Arts
The fine arts department at Lone Peak is diverse. The drama department produces two musicals and several plays each year and has a competitive Shakespeare team. The Shakespeare team competes at the The Utah Shakespearean Festival Shakespeare Competition each fall. For the past four years, they have ranked 1st place in the Sweepstakes. It features other programs in the fine arts such as ballroom dance, speech, debate, and various visual art and sculpture programs. Lone Peak has a strong choral program as well. The Chamber Singers regularly tour to New York City, competing in the Festival of Gold, a National Invitational Choral Festival. Each year they perform several concerts, benefit concerts, as well as many local gigs.
A chamber orchestra has been formed for the 2006-2007 school year.
