Families line the halls at Crittenden Middle School in Newport News on Tuesday for H1N1 vaccinations. The line for the after-school H1N1 flu shot clinic began forming at 3 p.m. Tuesday, an hour before the doors opened at Crittenden Middle School's gym.

Huntington Middle School teacher Marjorie Wallace finds out tonight if she is the state's teacher of the year for 2010. The life science teacher was named one of eight regional teachers of the year Sept. 25 after winning the district's top educator honor last spring. The state is honoring all eight regional winners at a dinner in Richmond this evening.

All but 2 percent of Virginia's public elementary and secondary schools are fully accredited this year, meeting student performance targets for achievement on state reading, math, social studies and science tests.
