    The man killed Tuesday night in an automobile accident in Auburn has been identified as Andrew Bonwell, 18, by the King County Medical Examiner's Office. Bonwell was a football player at Auburn Senior High School, according to teammate Cameron Chaney.

The school is situated on 18 acres of land in downtown Auburn, its campus includes the Auburn Performing Arts Center (PAC), The Auburn Swimming Pool, Auburn Memorial Stadium (formerly known as Troy Field) and the Administration Annex.

  • Auburn moved to the SPSL (South Puget Sound League) 3A in the fall of 2006. After only two years in the SPSL 3A Auburn along with Auburn Riverside moved to back to 4A as of fall 2008. Auburn became part of the SPSL-North, returning to the same league they left after 2005.Recent success at the Washington State Championship level include:

  • 2nd in 2007 Baseball, 2006 Wrestling, 2006 Baseball, 2002 Wrestling, and 2001 Boys Track and Field.
