School Reviews

The majority of students are from disadvantaged backgrounds and violence is rampant. My children consider a successful day one when they have avoided being assaulted. My son has lost a tooth to violence at this school and my daughter suffers from emotional trauma. Unfortunately, with the state of the economy, we can't afford to move.

My child attends class in a dilapidated house trailer parked next to the school. The trailer is full of mold and the county school board says there's nothing they can do. The teachers who are forced to work in this environment are very demoralized. I'm extremely concerned for my child's health, not to mention their education!

Our family was transferred here from Texas. When we enrolled our children, we toured Andrews Heights and were immediately concerned about the overall quality of the educational environment. Nevertheless, we ceded to the children's wishes to attend the nearest school for the sake of their personal social network. However, after only their first day of class, we decided to make other arrangements. They recounted witnessing numerous serious discipline problems throughout the day. Worse, two of our three children were actually threatened with physical harm by other students. To top off their experience, even they complained to us about the poor educational environment available at the school. Our children now all attend parochial school and are thriving.
