School Reviews

My daughter attended Fairview South a number of years ago. We found Fairview South to be the best possible fit for our daughter. The teachers were excellent and our daughter was able to learn many academic skills due to the diligence and discipline (not referring to punishment) that were practiced in this learning environment. She learned to write and solve math problems, and she could also sight-read words and short sentences. It sometimes brought me to tears of joy to see her schoolwork and the things that she had accomplished. Things that I thought might be very difficult for her.

Teachers and TAs are awesome. As a parent my child is able to feel comfortable in her environment and not stressed. She is not stuck secluded in a wing or a classroom in a major high school. She can bicycle in the hallway and do errands, she can growl during the classroom without interupting normal peers. Teachers and therapists work collaboratively on finding things that work whether it be speech, communication, physical therapy and OT. Best environment for these special kids. Highly recommend to parents once you accept that your child is special and needs the benefits of this type of special school.
