Welcome to Monrovia, Ind., population . . . well, it depends on what you mean by population. The latest census estimate says 654 residents. Monrovia High School's enrollment, according to the IHSAA's 2009-10 numbers, is 489.

Monrovia High School is a public high school located in Monrovia, California, a northeastern suburb of Los Angeles. Monrovia High School is the only 9-12 comprehensive high school in the Monrovia Unified School District. Established in 1893, the present campus is located in an attractive environment of neo-Spanish architecture, green lawns, hundred-year-old oak trees, and is nestled against the San Gabriel Mountains. In 2006, the citizens of Monrovia approved a $45 million dollar bond exclusively for the high school. Major construction will transform the campus by adding a new science building with modern technology labs, a new gymnasium to support the physical education and sports programs, a new stadium and bleachers, and overall renovation of the campus.
Athletics
Monrovia has a nearly 100-year history in sports, and in the last 15 years, Monrovia High School has regained its reputation for excellence in sports. Coach Steve Garrison led Monrovia's football team to several Rio Hondo League Championships and its first shot at a CIF championship in 14 years. Baseball, softball, girls' and boys' basketball, as well as several other sports teams achieved prominence during the same period.
The Pride Of The Foothills
Monrovia High School has a scholastic music program that features many ensembles such as the Marching Wildcats, the Symphonic Band, the Jazz Ensemble, the Drumline, and the Colorguard. In December 2007, the Marching Wildcats placed 7th in the SCSBOA Division A Championships under Band Director Daniel J. Magallanes. In December 2008, the Marching Wildcats received 5th place at the SCSBOA Division Championships at Pasadena City College.
Events
On October 23, 1946, the high school was the site of the fourth debate between incumbent Congressman Jerry Voorhis and his challenger, future president Richard Nixon.
On July 22, 1996, then-President Bill Clinton visited Monrovia High School and made a speech.
The school has also been the site of numerous movie shoots including Not Another Teen Movie, A Cinderella Story, Liar, Liar, Leave it to Beaver, and Drive Me Crazy. MHS was also the filming site of 976-EVIL.
