St. Mary Central High School will host a basketball coaching clinic on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Ralph McClone Gymnasium. The clinic will feature Dick Bennett and Mike Heideman, with on-court demonstrations by the Ripon College mens basketball team. The cost is $25 per coach or $100 for an entire coaching staff. Eleven-year-old Spencer Lacy wants to be a professional drag racer. It doesn't hurt that he just added a championship to his accomplishments as a junior dragster. Lacy, a New London Middle School sixth-grader, recently became champion of the junior Superstock class of Dragway 42 in West Salem.
