- Esperanza High School (EHS) is a 9th–12th grade public high school located in Anaheim, California that is part of the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District. It is a California Distinguished School and home to many C.I.F. championship athletic programs, such as water polo, swimming, baseball, football, basketball, marching band, tennis, the Aztec Dance Company, and award-winning cheer, song, and dance teams. Esperanza is also home to numerous academic clubs, such as Speech and Debate, Mock Trial, and Academic Decathlon. It's rising debate team is yet to earn any bids to the Tournament of Champions, but its Mock Trial and Decathlon programs are renown for their accomplishments in the county. EHS is a member of the Sunset League, which is part of the Southern Section of the California Interscholastic Federation. The school's colors are cardinal red and gold, and its mascot is the Aztecs. The school has two campuses: a main campus and a west campus connected by a pedestrian bridge. Due to the new high school much of the staff has transferred to the new school, leaving room for reconstruction such as a new gym where the portables use to be and all previous classes located at the portables being moved to West Campus.
- More than 2,000 students attend the school. Most come from nearby Yorba Linda, California with the rest generally residing in Anaheim and east Placentia.
- Esperanza was ranked #860 of the "Top 1,300 U.S. High Schools" in MSNBC/Newsweek's 2008 list.
