- Trabuco Hills High School is a high school in Mission Viejo, California, United States and is the largest school in the Saddleback Valley Unified School District in terms of attendance, with 3,128 students enrolled as of the 2006-2007 school year. The school has served the area since 1985 with its first graduating class in 1987. Its mascot is the mustang and its colors are blue, gray and white.

- Of the 2006–2007 graduates, 40 percent attended four-year colleges and 56 percent attended two-year colleges. In the fall of 2002, the school admitted more freshmen to California State University, Fullerton, than any other school in California. THHS features the largest enrollment in Coastline Regional Occupational Program (ROP) courses of any school in Orange County.

- Trabuco Hills’s API was 815 (out of 1000) for 2006-2007 school year. This is an increase of 6 points compared to the previous year's API. All students took the test.
- API RANKINGS: Based on 2005–2006 test results, the 2006–2007 school year began with an API base score of 809. The state ranks all schools according to this score on a scale from 1 to 10 (10 being highest). Compared to all high schools in California, Trabuco Hills received a 9 out of 10.

Trabuco Hills High School houses a significant number of extracurricular programs, many of which have received official recognition at the state and national level.
- Instrumental music

Trabuco Hills houses one of the most accomplished high school music programs in the state of California. Its drumline, colorguard, and marching band have performed in various regional and state competitions. The Trabuco Hills Percussion Ensemble earned 7th in the world for the Percussion Scholastic Open Division. The Trabuco Hills Winter Guard has recently closed an almost undefeated year with the exception of 15th place in the world for the Scholastic A division and 2nd in the state in the same division. The colorguard and drumline perform alongside the marching band in the fall semester, a unit which has also accomplished many great things. In the 2005-2006 season, the Thundering Marching Mustang Unit took 1st place in the entire state for the 4A division. In the 2007-2008 season, the unit returned to the Fiesta Bowl, a competition and parade held in Arizona. The Trabuco Hills Jazz Ensemble recently took first in the Intermediate Division at the Irvine High School jazz festival. The jazz program also includes a seven-piece jazz combo which performs and competes both alongside and independent of the Jazz Ensemble.
- The school's Symphonic Orchestra has performed at a national festival in Orlando Florida in 2004, and set an all time record for highest score achieved at that festival. On the heels of that tremendous accomplishment, it recently turned down an invitation to perform in Carnegie Hall. This was due to several students not bein able to pay for the pricey trip. The group performed at the Palm Springs Youth Music Festival for several years until funds for the program ran low (due to state budget cuts) and the festival was no longer a worthy one to attend for the prestige of the program. In the year 2006, the Symphonic Orchestra attended the inauguaral of the Orchestra of America Fesitval in Indianapolis. They showcased their talent to schools around the country and attended several performances to support their fellow musicians. The Symphonic Orchestra received several awards, placing 6th overall. The current director of the music program is Dr. Howard Stephens and the assistant director of music is Mr. Russell Moreau.

Trabuco Hills High School Model United Nations is currently an extra-curricular club with an option to earn academic credit (Social Science Elective) if the proper requirements are met. The program has been run by Saddleback Valley Unified School District teacher Raj Rajadhyaksha since 2006 and has greatly expanded the number and diversity of conferences attended. Local conferences spanning Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego counties are attended at a rate of approximately one per month, with one or two optional advanced "Away" conferences placed where appropriate.
- Delegates from Model United Nations have gone on to attend prestigious colleges such as UC Berkeley, UC San Diego, Stanford, Princeton, and George Washington University.

- Academic decathlon

The Academic Decathlon is a class at Trabuco Hills High School, but it also serves as an extracurricular program. Generally nine students compete among other teams in Orange County, and if successful among teams statewide, in ten academic events including a speech and an interview. The Trabuco Hills team now accommodates more than nine students allowing it to have several teams. The team has made it to the state competition several years including 2005. The team also has freshman and sophomore teams; however at that level the competition is much less rigorous and challenging.
- Science olympiad

The Trabuco Hills Science Olympiad club was founded in 2006. There are fifteen members on the team, and each member competes in at least two rigorous science competitions ranging from studying insects to building bridges. In the overall Orange County competition it ranked fourteenth (against schools such as Troy High School, whose team has repeatedly ranked first in the national competition), while ranking third in the Science Bowl competition.

The Trabuco Hills Theater department consists of several levels of Drama classes. Students begin in Drama I and after completing prerequisite courses progress to the upper levels of the Drama department. The most advanced stage acting group is the Drama Production Company which goes by the name: The Off the Wall Theater Co. As well as a highly awarded film production class.

In 2006 Trabuco Hills High School upset Royal High School of Simi Valley to win the California D1 state championship. They went on to NTN placing 9th. The program is currently under the reign of head coach Liam Clemons. Currently Ranked #25 in state, the team is led by Matt Mosier and Steven Tan. In the 2007-2008 season, the Mustangs have a super-talented pack of sophomores such as Jansen Oshier, Brian Gomez, Brent Ritschell, and the new addition Ryan Herson..

Daniel Kirkpatrick won the 2007 State track and field meet in the High Jump (6'11), boys J.T. sullivan and Scott Blair also qualified for the CIF state meet and placed 4th and 7th respectively. The program is currently under the reign of coach Ayers.
