I am a parent of a student here at Parkdale High School. My child is a senior attending this school. I am a very hands on parent and play a big role in my child's education. I must say Parkdale has served as an great place where my child can learn and reach to his greatest potential. There are many clubs, activities, and organizations at this school. On a scale comparing Parkdale to Roosevelt based on the amount of clubs and activities that a student an join, I would say they are about equal. For me as a parent, safety for my child comes first. At Parkdale the environment is pretty good. It is located in Riverdale Maryland, which is not a bad place. There are little to no reports of crime in this area. Also the distractions at Parkdale High School are at a minimum. My child has not had many problems with other students or teachers, this is a place where your child can get the education he needs. There are some nice and hands on teachers that will work with you, which is an upside. Of course, like any other high school Parkdale has its faults and its downsides but it is primarily a great place to get the learning you need. As a parent who has had first hand experience, I recommend you to consider Parkdale High School for your child.
