The undefeated Parkway Academy football team has vacated its spot in the Class 1A playoffs. Last week it was reported that the Florida High School Athletic Association was investigating the school for the alleged use of an ineligible player.

The Melbourne Holy Trinity girls' volleyball team had too many weapons up front, led by hitting sisters Julia and Jackie Swalchick, as the Tigers beat Chaminade-Madonna 25-14, 25-20, 25-18 in the Class 3A state semifinal on Wednesday afternoon at The Lakeland Center.
