Palm Beach Central High School is a high school located in Wellington, Florida in the Palm Beach County School District. Opened in 2003, Palm Beach Central has approximately 3,000 enrolled students for the 2007-2008 school years.
Mission Statement
The staff of Palm Beach Central High School is dedicated to providing a safe learning environment that promotes intellectual and career growth. Our goal is to offer a comprehensive and advanced scholastic program that prepares all students for college and/or career employment. The faculty and staff will maintain a fundamental commitment to excellence in all facets of the school's daily routine.
As lifelong learners, students will use their education to become self-reliant citizens in a democratic society.
History
Athletics
The Bronco baseball team under head coach Scott Benedict has more than 400 career wins. The team won four consecutive district titles from 2004-2007 and went to the regional finals in each of those seasons. The Bronco wrestling team, lead by hall of fame coach John Henry, was at a point, undefeated for three years, and consists of very strong neutral wrestlers, and top wrestlers.
