  • Ashland High School is a secondary school in Ashland, Massachusetts. It was opened in 2005. It is designed to be an environmentally friendly school.
  • Clubs and organizations: Ashland's clubs and organizations include:
  • Academic Decathlon is a tight knit group that is studying China this year. Thanks to the valiant efforts of Captains S. Smith and J. Cahill, many new activites like field trips have been added to the rigourous study schedule. The team pulled in several medals and a second place trophy at Regional Competition, and is now studying for States.
  • Adventure Club.
  • Amnesty International.
  • Art Club.
  • Computer Technology.
  • Gay Straight Alliance.
  • International Club.
  • Junior State of America, not to be confused with the Justice Society of America. Separate events take place on a regional and/or national level. Most recently taking place for Ashland High's chapter was the Fall State convention. Other events include: Fall Regional, Winter Congress, Spring Regional, and Spring State, among others.
  • National Honors Society, Socios Chapter. A student must have a cumulative grade of 87% or higher to be eligible for admittance into the society. Once eligible, in the opening of junior or senior year, the student must complete a form that exemplifies his/her service, leadership, and character. Included, one must have a recommendation from a teacher and another who can verify his/her merit. Once inducted the student must complete 5 hours of community service each term, and a total of 22 hours of tutoring in the Academic Center.
  • Newspaper (AHS Forum).
  • Student Council. Admittance into the council is based on election by one's class into that class' student government. Roles include: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Historian, and Class Representatives. Otherwise one may attend the meetings as OE or Open Enrollment. He/She must attend three meetings and be involved in three events to become a member of the council. Each year a new executive board with the positions: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Historian is elected on a vote by the council. The role of the council is to evoke school spirit and raise money for various donations. Recently donations were made to the Ashland Emergency Fund and the Ashland Food Pantry.
  • Peer.
  • Prysm.
  • Renaissance Program. This awards students who attained High Honors, Honors, Merit, or Perfect Attendance with a breakfast, ice cream social, or in-school event of some form.
  • Robotics.
  • Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD).
  • Theatrical Society. Since its founding, its members have put on many successful performances such as, Hello, Dolly, You Can't Take it With You, My Fair Lady, and Noises Off. This coming March they will be adding Once Upon a Mattress to their repertoire.
  • Yearbook.
  • Schedule: The school operates on a rotating block schedule. There are seven blocks, A-G, and each day five of the seven meet. The two that do not meet will meet the following day with the last two from the previous day dropped. The first two and the final two blocks have 63 minutes of class time, with the dubbed "long block" of 84 minutes in the middle. Lunch falls during fourth block, three lunches, each thirty minutes in duration.
