Florence K-8 completed an undefeated softball season on Oct. 21, as the Lady Gophers defeated Walker Butte K-8 in the Florence District championship game 14-12 at the high school field. Florence Caylor, seated in blue, celebrated her 99th birthday earlier this month. She's lived in Tucson 20 years and now lives on the Northwest Side. She and her late husband George E. Caylor raised seven children in the Copper Basin area.
