    LSU graduate student Isabel Escalante, of Venezuela, center, works with Children’s Charter School student Jaylynn Jackson, 10, in the school auditorium on March 19. Escalante is one of three Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra violinists teaching violin to children at the Baton Rouge elementary school as part of a fledgling program modeled after the El Sistema youth orchestra program in Venezuela.
