Women's association collects for veterans (The Hawk Eye)

The Burlington Women's Bowling Association is giving back to the veterans. The league is currently collecting for the Bowlers-to-Veterans-Link for a state main-in tournament. The proceeds that are collected will stay in the state of Iowa and be used for recreational equipment for veterans.

New Hend-Co Hills owner putting stamp on golf course. Back in the late 1960s, a patch of land that used to serve as farmland just west of Biggsville, Ill., was targeted by the Federal Housing Administration to build a nine-hole golf course.
