Big Water honors veterans at dinner (Lake Powell Chronicle)

BIG WATER – Wearing the Purple Heart he earned during World War II, Norman Luckey was greeted with honor at the Big Water dinner for veterans. At age 88, Luckey was the oldest veteran attending the dinner that was held in the gymnasium of Big Water School on Veterans Day.

BIG WATER – Jade McBride is the mayor-elect of Big Water after receiving 105 votes from the 175 people who came to the polls on Nov. 3. “I am humbled and honored to know that many people have confidence in me,” McBride said.
