DANBURY -- A two-month long special investigation into city heroin trafficking culminated in the arrest of a 41-year-old man late Thursday evening.Police said they received information that a man they had been watching would be return to his house Thursday night after a trip to New York City to attain drugs.

DANBURY -- State Speaker of the House Christopher Donovan walked into a preschool class at Morris Street School in the city Tuesday afternoon and joined right in the singing of "The Wheels on the Bus." The Democratic representative was a preschool teacher in the 1970s and remembered all the songs.

Danbury's most vulnerable citizens had one wish granted this week with the news that a regional health center will open in the city in January 2010.It will not be a free clinic, but rather, one where patients and their families are charged on a sliding scale based on their ability to pay.
