SOUTHINGTON — Bands from all over the northeast will converge on Southington High School Oct. 17 for the 17th annual Music of the Knight. Besides being one of the largest and well-attended high school band competitions in New England, the event is the largest fundraiser of the year for the volunteer Band Backers, who raise much of the financial support for the 125-member student band.
