Gator Rescued In Canal Near Middle School (CBS4 Miami)

Fire fighters responded to a much different type of rescue Friday morning, a seven foot, 300 pound alligator needed help. Captain Charles Seifert and Lieutenant Scott Mullin of Miami-Dade's Venom One Unit put their training skills to work in a steep canal bank on Flagler and 97th Avenue to remove the gator from a canal across the street from Ruben Dario Middle School.
