By Laura Byrnes Correspondent Hunter Turner parked his wheelchair Thursday in a patch of shade in the courtyard at Forest High School and enjoyed the perfect fall weather. Every now and then a classmate ambled over for a high-five and a "how's it goin' bro?" More than anything, Hunter enjoyed the view.

Staff reports Jazzmin Bethea scored a double-double to lead the Vanguard basketball team to a 64-22 victory over visiting Dunnellon in Monday night’s season opener. Bethea had 13 points and 13 rebounds, while teammate Holly Pole added 11 points. Shalaunte Gardner scored 7 points for Dunnellon (0-1), which visits Leesburg on Friday.
