  • Dunnellon High School is a high school located in Dunnellon, Florida. The school's athletic teams are known as the Tigers. Dunnellon offers a mentor for every student program, Foundation Academy, Air Force Jr ROTC, Appiled Technology, NHS, FFA, TV Production, SEA, Advanced Placement and Honors Courses, Dual Enrollment at CFFC and Withlacochee Technical Institute. The Dunnellon School was originally established in 1890, serving grades 1 through 8. Dunnellon High School moved into a new facility in 1983.
  • Although Dunnellon High School is operated by the School District of Marion County, it also serves some students from Citrus County and Levy County.

  • Progress: Dunnellon High School made more progress this past school year than any other high school in the state of Florida according to Florida’s Department of Education. Dunnellon High earned 391 points on school grading scale, 82 points more than last year. This finish placed the school in the top spot on the “Top 50 High Schools for Making Progress” Florida's Department of Education list.
  • Notable alumni: Martinez Allen Outfielder (New York Mets).

  • NEW: Dunnellon High school will be going through renovations. In December 2006 the school will be painted and lockers added. Over the summer break there will be all new tile, meaning no carpet in the whole school. The school has a motto, "What the Buzz". This comes from Dunnellon rasing their state Florida Department of Education and FCAT grade from a "D" to a "B". Dunnellon High school has over 30 new staff members.
