Miniaturized furniture and brightly colored rugs, toys and wall decorations now fill the two rooms of the new voluntary pre-kindergarten center in Kissimmee's Chambers Park, which held its first class Wednesday.

School Starts Humanitarian Club Davenport School of the Arts has started a "Change the World Club" that meets after school. The club does humanitarian and philanthropic projects.

Although Osceola County third-graders posted overall increases in their Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test math and reading scores from 2008, they were still less than the state average according to 2009 test results released this week.
