Despite having the day off in honor of Veterans Day, some students at Needwood Middle School woke up early to go to school. The students went to hear about an opportunity to travel to China's Jiangxi province next summer.

Glynn Middle School closed out a perfect football season Wednesday at Glynn County Stadium with a 37-18 win over Needwood Middle School to claim the middle school championship.

Brunswick--Michelle Diane Toler, 15, passed away Aug. 29, 2009, at her residence. She was born in Glynn County and had lived most of her life in Glynn and McIntosh counties. She was an eighth grade student at Needwood Middle School and a member of the band. She was Baptist by faith.
