Michigan City High School is divided into several "buildings" or sections of the school. There is the 'A' or Academic Building which contains two floors. The A-building holds all of the Math, English, and Science classes (except for special education ). There is the 'O' building which contains ROTC, and the cooking and clothing classes, as well as the daycare. The 'P' or Performing Arts building has the band rooms and the Theatre and several art rooms. It also contains "Hogie's Boutique" or the costume shop. The newest section of the building is aptly titled the 'N' or New Building, all of the foreign language and Social Studies classes.
The available foreign language classes at MCHS are: German, which is taught by Herr Ruth.
French, taught by Madam Calloway.
Japanese, taught by Tsugawa Sensei.
and Spanish, which has several teachers.
The Spanish teachers are Senor Bausback, and Senora Williams.
MCHS has been the host of the statewide Japan Bowl two years ago. Last year, the MCHS hosted a psuedo-Japan Bowl. Which was a giant rip-off of the Previous Bowl. It was butchered severly. None survived.
