As Largo police responded to a report of a person with a weapon in a park, two nearby elementary schools were put in lockdown status temporarily, a schools spokeswoman said. The lockdown at Ridgecrest Elementary School was lifted at 3:31 p.m., while the one at Mildred Helms Elementary School was lifted at 3:37 p.m., said Andrea Zahn, spokeswoman for the Pinellas school district.
