  • Northside High School is located in the Northern part of the city of Lafayette, Louisiana; hence "Northside". It has a relatively decent athletic system, and the football team was state runner up in 2005. Also the Basketball team won the 4A State Championship in 2006. The school itself is predominantly African American. Its rival is crosstown Saint Thomas More High School, located in southern Lafayette.
