Free flu shots, for both the seasonal flu and H1N1, commonly called swine flu, brought people to the Cabot Veterans Community Center before 7 a.m. on Friday. “I don’t know when they got here,” county health director Milton Garris said. “We got here at 7 to get set up and people were already lining up,” he said.

The current report of the Joint Legislative Audit Agency inspection of the Cabot School District records returns to a 2007 incident in which a school district employee funneled away food sales funds. But, Superintendent Tony Thurman said, only because, by law, the outcome of the case has to be noted.
