L'ANSE - The search for a L'Anse High School principal recently ended, with Wakefield-Marenisco K-12 Principal Carrie Nyman chosen by the district's board. "She will be on board July 1, her contract will run July 1 through June 30," Superintendent Ray Pasquali said. "We're currently in contract negotiations with her and we're excited to have her aboard.

HOUGHTON - Over the years, there have been several local long distance runners who have made their marks in track and cross country circles. Fred Teddy of L'Anse High School carved out a fine prep career in the late 1960s that landed him a scholarship at Michigan State.
