MARQUETTE - In Tuesday's story in The Mining Journal about the Gwinn High School volleyball team's win over Westwood, the photo caption incorrectly identified No. 10 as Kayla Dishon. The Modeltowers' player hitting the ball, No. 10 is actually Toni Hantz.

MARQUETTE - The Northern Michigan University volleyball team closed out its 2009 regular home season on a high note as the Wildcats upended the Finlandia University Lions, 3-0 at Vandament Arena in Marquette on Friday.

NEGAUNEE - Two 16-year-olds have been reported missing from a Skandia youth home, said troopers from the Negaunee post of the Michigan State Police. James Robert Eman and Norman Bradbury IV were last seen getting off of a school bus at Gwinn High School on Oct. 7, said troopers. Troopers said that the boys never reported to school and have not been seen or heard from since that day.

GWINN - The Gwinn High School volleyball team had to win a decisive fifth game over Ishpeming at home on Tuesday night, but the Modeltowners were able to celebrate on parents' night with a 3-2 (25-13, 25-22, 12-25, 11-25, 15-13) win over the Hematites.
