School Notes:
  • Eastern High School is a high school in Lansing, Michigan and a part of the Lansing School District. It is located on the city's near-eastside on Pennsylvania Avenue, one block north of Michigan Avenue. The building was connected with former Pattengill Middle School next to Sparrow Hospital.
  • IB
  • IB, or International Baccalaureate, is a new program at Lansing Eastern and has been an IB World School since May 2006. Students are able to take certain classes required by the IB program and receive an IB Diploma. IB Web Site
  • Athletics
  • Eastern's sports teams are known as the Quakers and are members of the Capital Area Activities Conference, with inner city rivals Everett High School and Sexton High School.

    The Don Johnson Field House is located behind Eastern and is an ideal place for sports practices and activities. Inside the Field House contains a basketball court big enough to fit the entire school inside, which is also ideal for the school's pep rally. It also contains a pool to serve the Eastern High School swim team for practices.
  • Quaker Marching Band
  • In the 2009-2010 school year, the drum major was Maxine Goik. The marching band is directed by Mauricio DeRosso.
