Saturday presented the expository speaking category of the Bay Area's largest forensics tournament of the year. Some 561 speakers from more than 40 area high schools spent the day elocuting their hearts out at Milipitas High School. The tournament continues today with a four-part debate competition.

LELAND — A compromise of sorts has been reached between the Leland Public School District and the city of Leland that will see the return of four of six dismissed crossing guards whose jobs were eliminated because of budget cuts.
